Great bike. I always love it when we can keep them for what seems like forever.
Enjoy it, it's always better with two!

Hey HB Twinn, It says in your sig that you have a 63 twin. I joined this site to get more info on mine. My serial number says the bike was made on April 14th 1965 but the same site that I got the info from said twins weren't made until 68. I'm guessing since you have a 63 that latter info is wrong & mine really can be a 65?

That's a cool Custom Twinn. I'll ride in the back seat thank you.  ;D

From what I know in 63 they called the new tandem "Bicycle Built for Two" and the Twinn started with the 64 models. If HB's frame has a late 63 serial number it may have been built up in and for the 64 model year.

cool, thanks for the links. That brochure definitely confirms they were started in 64. Then mine is indeed a 1965. & what's a really cool twist is the last 4 digits of the serial number are 1965. Out of the 4522 bikes built that day I got the one that has the same numbers as the year it was made.

Yes, the serial numbers are 1963, but the first year for the Twinn was 64, and Deluxe Twinn was 65from what I can tell. Both of mine are early mfg. I just got a 63 BBFT and will post pix when done. A couple of other projects got in the way.

I don't have good pictures on my work computer so here are a couple of pics from my phone. I paid $50 for the Twinn Tandem and as you can see it is as close to NOS as I've seen.

I bought the blue Mini Twinn because it looked cool... I had no idea it was rare. The Green one was a deal I couldn't pass up!

I think I have enough Tandems now... unless a Coppertone Mini comes along!
