This was in the Pella, Iowa Tulip Time festival parade this past weekend. Pretty neat! Obviously modified a bit from stock and probably repainted.

Announcer said there were only 40 of these made by Schwinn but he struck me as rather dingy so who knows...

There is an original one at Northtowne in Cedar Rapids. I have 2 and another friend has one. So that makes at least 5 in Iowa. My unsubstantiated number is they made 200. (Spellcheck can't figure my misspelling out.)  Also have 2 complete Town & Country tandems, and 1 parts tandem. Still need fenders & rims.

Heard back from him, no luck... He thinks there is another guy that shows up at the OBC (Old Bikes Club) swaps that might have a set. I think I know who he's talking about, he bought a Welterweight from him.

Disneyland has a T&C quad.  It originally had painted fenders and pinstriped frame.  If you see it today it is all the parts are changed and it is repainted.

There's at least one triplet here in PA. One of our members has it.

That makes 2 in PA because i went to a bike shop and he has on that is from the 50's and it does't have a serial number but its an actual Schwinn.

 I think the production number is between 100-150 according to a so. cal Schwinn dealer that has one, or had one on display since new.
I have heard, more than once, they were offered to the top tier dealers as a promotion back in the 50's. Several were used as rentals on the east coast boardwalks.
I have a red one and they are a hand-full to ride, the old drum brakes are more for sound than braking with three up.
