Not really what I am into but couldn't pass on this one. 100% original and all there. Rear drum model and double knurled S2's .  One year only 81 for this color. MR serial # with a 1261 badge stamp.

It's not that I don't like it, I do. I just prefer 3 speed middleweight bikes with racks and tanks. I think this will get me one of those.

Brown is not my favorite Schwinn color, but I'd agree I would not pass that one up.  I wouldn't mind having a five speed cantilever frame bike.

Nice find!
'53 Varsity, black enamel
'56 American manual 2 speed, opal green (men's) and opal blue (women's)
'58 Deluxe Hornet, two-tone blue
'59 Racer 3 speed, black
'63 Tiger 3 speed, radiant blue
'65 Deluxe Racer 3 speed, coppertone
'65 Traveler woman's frame, violet
'68 Varsity Tourist, campus green
'71 Sting-Ray Fastback 1 speed, sky blue
'73 Suburban 5 speed, campus green both men's and women's frames, opaque blue men's frame
'74 Continental opaque blue

It is not Sierra Brown as found on several model lightweights. It is Spicy Chestnut, big difference.

... Nice find! ... I think some clay colored tires would really make your bike a looker ... ;-)

I think most people looking for these are interested in originality IE: all reflectors in place, original cables etc: vs being a looker.

You are correct Jennifer. If I decide to ship this one, the first number is an easy "5"
