65 handle bars vs 66 bars

I bought some handle bars off a guy who said they just said schwinn nothing else. Got them in the mail and they are dated 66.  Are they the same as 65?   I was gonna use them on a very late 64 frame

Depends on how correct your looking to be...64 bars are not stamped ,  65 bars are stamped Schwinn and the remainder are stamped Schwinn and dated.... overall shape is the same though.

.  The Schwinn catalog list part number 7877 for both 1965 and 66 handlebars for Stingrays.... now if it's a 66 1/2 thats when the Fastback style bars came in for 3 speed stik shift J38's in August of 66.   Mark

7877-66 are the model bars I got.  I was hoping they just said schwinn for my 65, but seems to me they are the same as 65, just dated?  I will probably have these re-chromed and just use them, unless someone has a set of just schwinn stamped bars they wanna swap
