Hello everyone! Glad to have found the forum. I haven't been online talking about Schwinn bikes in many years and glad to be here to do so. I've literally been riding Schwinns all my life and I am happy to say I still own every single bike I had growing up. I just recently took my first bike(Lil' Tiger) apart to gently clean off years of dust, and will soon be reassembling it. It's complete right down to the original training wheels. It was purchased new from Reggie Pink in White Plains NY in for Christmas 1970. It's a treasure tat I am happy was kept around long enough for me to bring it with me later in life. I even started my son out riding it seven years ago when he was 3 years-old. He now rides a reissue Grey Ghost.

Anyhow I was talking some close-up of the details of my Lil'tiger whlie it was apart and thought I'd post the seat post pic wit the Schwinn & Dealer logo/label.

Best,
Den

And another welcome!

Sure wish that I could say that I still had all the Schwinns that I owned over the years.

I've let three of them get away from me. A '62(probably) black Typhoon(24" wheels), a '63 or '64 coppertone Traveler(19" frame 3 speed), and a '65 sky blue Varsity tourist(21" frame).

Here is a random pic I didn't upload on the last set of pics. This is a pics of various parts (carefully) laid in the parts bin after receiving a gentle cleaning and and wipe down (others waiting their turn). As can been seen, all original. The bike is a wonderful sentimental item for me that I will always cherish. I guess that's what makes old Schwinn's so awesome for many of us here! As time permits I should have it reassembled soon.

Thanks Bob! I have my mother to thank for not putting any of them to the curb after I outgrew each one during the 70's. When my other passed away a few years ago, thie bikes took on an even greater signifcance as cherished memories of good times. I am currently having my garage renovated, so all of the bikes that are usually stored in my garage are out in my backyard storage building for the time being. Once the garage renovation is done by the middle of next week (I hope), I'll bring all the bikes back in to their regular cozy spot and take a group pic of them.
