picked up this 1988-1989 Trek 1000 today. the owner said it the rear axle was broke and I got it home and all i can see is the quick release was released and put it together and rode it
62cm frame size too!

I'll have to remember that trick (flip the Q/R and say to the seller that it appears to have a broken axle) ...  Roll Eyes

I am gonna have a friend go thru this as the rear derailleur isnt right. and he loves tuning up these kind of bikes. I think any money spent on it will probably come back in the end anyways. maybe I will even ride it some Smiley I sure wish all my bikes weighed this much lol
