Hello everyone, I just purchased an OCT 1978 Stingray (SN KP556961)- maybe a BX. Per the 1978 catalog it appears to be a BX - Messenger seat, fender less with no evidence of ever having any fenders mounted, BMX grips and black cross braced handle bars (the ones taped to the chrome ones in the picture). But the chain guard does not have BX on it, and the the wheels are FEMCO made in Taiwan, with heavy duty spokes and chrome.
Is it probable/possible that this is a BX and delivered from the store with this chain guard and rim/tire set-up?
