« on: January 15, 2013, 03:59:34 PM »
Any know what a '92 Paramount Buell SASS new in box might be worth? A bike shop owner was just asking me today.

Thanks

Not sure I've ever seen one sell.

There is a small market for them and the few I ever see start out with a high price that never seems to go anywhere.

You might ask on this forum.

BTW ... "Buell SASS" is a great name  ... and not just for a bike.   ;D

well...i', back...see my info in cycle news.....'bout those buell sass...i have one with about 1 mile on it (the local paper was doing a article on mnt bikes and i heard that my competion was going to take a trek full suspension and i couldnt let tthem get away with that so..)   they were 203 bikes made..the plan was to make 200 but they counted and found more parts...ie..."juice " rear brakes...f. forks...rear sus parts...etc so they made 203...i have never tryed to sell mine.  remember it was sold as a frame set but mine is asembled as a bike. so the selling price is open to the seller and buyer. ol bob and lucky to be here!!!!!

Holy Smokes...Somebody had an idea!

Kinda hard to figure out all that's going on with that rear suspension(at least for a dummy like me)!

Looks like a Harley soft tail (to me), with the shock and spring outside the arc of movement rather than inside the pivot point.

Yeah, I see the similarity to the softail but I'm having a hard time visualizing how that pivot point in front of the seat tube works in conjunction with the shock absorber. I guess I'd have to see it in action to understand it.  :P

basically the shock pulles apart and then compresses.....remember..if its in the box...what you get is the frame ..fork..a d rear brakes and rear shock assy...you build the rest.   ol bob.....glen adams got 3d at the down hill world champioship in 92 or 93 on a buell.
